Channel Refurbishment

Eventually channel strips develop issues over time. These issues range from bulging, dried, or leaking electrolytic capacitors to dirty pots, switches, and faders that crackle when adjusted. While a lot of issues can be solved with contact or other appropriate cleaners, It can be difficult if you aren’t comfortable dealing with these issues. In some cases, you want to adjust the sound or range of a channel strip to give you a unique sound. Typical modifications to accomplish this type of adjustment include:
replacing op-amps, changing E.Q. cap values, assessing coupling cap
values, and more.
